As an exotic destination for a celebratory lunch, it’s hard to beat Venice. Although there’s a fair amount of flying time involved, your private jet will eliminate the usual airport delays so you can maximise your time in this enchanted city.
The Palace of the Doge Gritti is one of the world's most celebrated hotels. Commissioned in 1525 as the
residence of the Doge of Venice, Andrea Gritti, the Gritti Palace was later used as the official residence of
the Vatican's ambassadors to Venice. Ernest Hemingway once appreciated the hotel "as the best hotel in a
city of great hotels."
Lunch on the terrace of the gastronomic restaurant Club del Doge, directly overlooking the Grand Canal
and the famous church of Santa Maria della Salute, offers one of the finest dining locations in the world.
The varied menu offers a mix of traditional Venetian specialities and daily special dishes which make
maximum use of local produce.
The Terrace is open from May to October. During the winter months lunch is served in the beautiful dining
room which has recently been completely refurbished in traditional Venetian style.
