Neighborhood Franchises Celebrate “Teachers of the Year” Making an Impact in the Classroom and Beyond
Family-friendly wing spot Jefferson’s is proud to announce the inaugural run of its “Teacher of the Year” program. The Jefferson’s Teacher of the Year Award is launched in celebration of National Teachers’ Day on Tuesday, May 6, and the initiative will extend across all five states where Jefferson’s has locations: Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia.
The Jefferson’s Teacher of the Year program recognizes the dedication of teachers who make a lasting impact in their students’ lives by inspiring them with a love of learning, serving as role models in their communities, and consistently going above and beyond for their students. These teachers can be nominated by students, parents, school officials, or anyone in the community who has witnessed their impact.
The nomination period will close on April 11. Teachers working with groups of any age and that live or work in the area are eligible for nomination. Winners from each location will receive a $500 Jefferson’s gift card and their names added to the “Jefferson’s Teacher of the Year” plaque displayed prominently at their respective restaurant.
Over the last two years, Jefferson’s has also piloted a multi-state Coach of the Year program, committed to honoring extraordinary coaches and community members in all of Jefferson’s neighborhoods across their five-state reach. The Teacher of the Year program is created as a sister program–an additional avenue for Jefferson’s to give back and recognize the unsung heroes of its communities.
“We couldn’t have the terrific communities that we do without our teachers,” said Jefferson’s President Brandon Graham. “When we launched our Coach of the Year program and saw the outpouring of support from all the lives touched by our nominees, we knew we wanted to find a way to recognize more of those community heroes–who are too often underrecognized. We’re honored to celebrate the teachers who not only educate, but also serve as compassionate role models for so many kids.”
