Congratulations to Lauren Constantino, our 2025 Jefferson’s Topeka Teacher of the Year!

Mrs. Constantino teaches fourth grade at Berryton Elementary School, and has known she wanted to be a teacher–like her mom–for as long as she can remember.

We can’t think of a better way to tell you what makes her an incredible teacher than by sharing directly from her nominators:

• “Lauren goes above and beyond to make sure her students have fun learning. She spends many hours after school preparing her lessons. Her students mean the world to her and she goes the extra mile by going to any sports or other events they may be involved with.”
• “She’s creative with her teaching. To teach her students pronouns, she made a pronoun pizza! Different toppings represented different pronouns. The kids loved the pizza, of course.”
• “She knows how to engage students all across the learning spectrum, and how to relate to the needs of different abilities.”
