Coach McAllister nominator shared, “This coach goes above and beyond for their players in every possible way—on and off the field. They don’t just coach a sport; they build confidence, character, and teamwork in every student. They take extra time to help players improve, celebrate every small win, and make sure every athlete feels valued, no matter their skill level. What makes this coach stand out is their consistency, patience, and genuine care. They lead with passion and purpose, and it shows in how their team respects and performs for them.”

Congratulations to Danielle Rudd, our 2025 Jefferson’s Ringgold Teacher of the Year!

Danielle is a sixth – eighth grade Reading Intervention teacher at East Hamilton Middle School. She has taught for 17 years across four different states.

We received an outpouring of submissions from Danielle’s community. As one nominator said, “She doesn’t just show up—she pours in.” We can’t think of a better way to tell you what makes her an incredible teacher than by sharing directly from her students:

• “Mrs. Rudd is more than a teacher. She’s a safe place at East Hamilton Middle. She’s an encourager. She’s an example. She’s all that’s good in the world. My child loves her so very much!”
• “One thing that sets Danielle apart is how intentional she is with everything she does. She doesn’t just teach—she sees her students. I’ve watched her spend her own money to make sure a child had a winter coat. I’ve seen her come home late because she stayed after school to comfort a student who was having a tough day. She’s the kind of teacher who remembers every kid’s favorite color, who brings in snacks for testing days, who keeps extra school supplies in her desk just in case someone needs them but doesn’t want to ask for them.”
