Congratulations to Annabelle Roper, our 2026 Jefferson’s Calhoun Teacher of the Year!

Annabelle teaches 1st Grade English Language Arts at Calhoun Primary School.

She is the kind of teacher who shapes lives, and her passion and care make her truly deserving of recognition.”

Annabelle shared, “Being a teacher has meant more to me than I could ever fully put into words. The joy that comes with this profession is unlike anything else. To me, teaching is about so much more than delivering lessons—it’s about being a support system, a cheerleader, a safe place, and, at times, a second home for my students.”
