Congratulations to Mendy Mashburn, our 2026 Jefferson’s Dalton Teacher of the Year!

Mendy teaches Kindergarten – 3rd Grade at New Hope Elementary.

She keeps a solid and continuous foundation for her students so they always have stability. She makes class fun, exciting, and always having the children ready to learn. She is one of the most kind people I know. Her empathy, patience, and amount of love and dedication she has for her class, students, coworkers and friends is undeniable.”

Mendy shared, “I feel that I am doing the job God called me to do. I love working with children. It is so rewarding to watch them learn and grow each year. Teaching is the most rewarding job and I am proud to play a small role in the lives of the children I teach.”
