Congratulations to Briana Butler, our 2025 Jefferson’s Hampton Cove Teacher of the Year!

Here are a few of our favorite stories about Mrs. Butler that were shared by her nominators. She:

• Nominated several students for an educational trip to Washington DC, including applying for grants to cover costs – and those students were selected based on her nomination!
  
• Runs a homework hotline after school for students to get one-on-one help.

Mrs. Butler is someone who cares deeply for her students, and has a plan to execute that care. A nominator summarized her compassionate organization well: “One of the most telling examples of who Mrs. Butler is as an educator came during a recent data meeting, where she arrived with color-coded charts, individualized student plans, and suggestions for adjustments—not just for her own class, but for the entire grade level. She had spent hours outside of contract time digging into reports and identifying areas of opportunity. This level of preparation is not a one-time occurrence for Mrs. Butler—it’s a reflection of her constant pursuit of excellence.”
