Congratulations to Andria Devlin, our 2026 Jefferson’s Lawrence Teacher of the Year!

Andria Devlin teaches Early Childhood Education at Lawrence Arts Center Preschool & Kindergarten.

We can’t think of a better way to tell you what makes her an incredible teacher than by sharing directly from her nominators:

“Andria is an inspiring do-it-all teacher. She is not only the director of the Lawrence Arts Center’s Early Childhood Department (preschool, kindergarten, and extracurricular programs), but also a hands-on classroom teacher! Andria believes wholeheartedly in educating the child through PLAY, with research and science to back it up. Children in Andria’s classrooms are steeped in kindness, creativity, and collaboration.”

Andria shared, “Not everyone can say that they love their job, but I truly do. There is nothing better than making connections with children and families. Watching children learn, grow, and discover their talents and celebrating big and small milestones with them and their grown-ups. Encouraging children’s natural curiosity and wonder while watching the “aha” moments when they occur is an absolute joy. It is my privilege to be even a small part of a child’s and their family’s life.”
