Congratulations to Sandra Plummer, our 2025 Jefferson’s Oxford Teacher of the Year!

Mrs. Plummer teaches K2 and K4 at Trinity Christian Academy. She has been teaching for 25 years.

Mrs. Plummer’s nominators spoke of her resilience in the face of loss, as well as her deep love for all of her students–and her three dachshunds! We can’t think of a better way to tell you what makes her an incredible teacher than by sharing directly from her nominators:

• “Mrs. Plummer is always coming up with new games for her students, fun songs, and special incentives to keep them motivated to do their best. All of my grandkids have experienced her classroom, and she knocks it out of the park EVERY year! She makes sure every child knows they’re special.”
• “She has always gone the extra mile to make sure that her children know that they are loved, as well as them learning all that they need to succeed in K5. This year she has really gone above and beyond, taking over additional teaching duties when another teacher had to leave unexpectedly. To say that she is a pillar of our school is an understatement.”
