Congratulations to Mistie Blair, our 2026 Jefferson’s Rome Teacher of the Year!

Mistie teaches Special Education at Alto Park Elementary.

Mistie creates a safe, supportive environment where every child is valued, understood, and encouraged to succeed at their own pace.”

Mistie shared, “I love being a teacher! I have the best class with little ones who are full of personality and spunk. I get the opportunity to watch them grow and learn new things every day. I love being able to celebrating large and small victories because all growth is wonderful. There is never a dull moment in the classroom making every day an adventure.”

These teachers have made an impact on their students lives and have been nominated by school and community members.
