How it works
We found teachers that:
Love what they do and ignite the same passion for learning in their students
Serve as a mentors and role models, guiding students both inside and outside the classroom
Demonstrate a service-oriented commitment to their community
Award
Each Jefferson’s Teacher of the Year will receive a $500 Jefferson’s gift card and have their name added to the Jefferson’s Teacher of the Year plaque displayed in the restaurant.
Terms and Conditions
Eligibility
- The nomination process is open to members of the community and can submitted by anyone – parent, student, coworker, etc.
- Teachers nominated must be actively teaching in the local area/school district during the current year.
- Employees of Jefferson’s are not eligible for nomination.
- Teachers nominated must teach or live within a 10 mile radius of the city the restaurant is located in.
Nomination Period
- Nominations will be accepted from 03/30/2026 to 04/08/2026
- Any nominations submitted outside this period will not be considered.
How to nominate
- Nominations can be submitted via the nomination form on each locations’ page.
- Multiple nominations from the same participant for the same teacher may result in disqualification.
- Multiple nominations for the same teacher from different participants will be considered.
Criteria
Teachers will be evaluated based on their
- A teacher who loves what they do and ignites the same passion for learning in their students.
- A teacher who serves as a mentor and role model, guiding students both insde and outside the classroom.
- A teacher who demonstrates a service-oriented commitment to their community.
Selection Process
- The selection panel will consider all valid nominations and make a selection based on the best matched criteria.
- The selected Teacher of the Year will be notified by 04/21/2026 and will be publicly announced on National Teachers Day on social media 05/05/2026
Prize
The winner will receive
- A $500 Jefferson’s Gift Card
- Their name engraved on the Jefferson’s Teacher of the Year plaque displayed at their location.
Publicity
By participating in this nomination process, participants agree to allow Jefferson’s to use their name, likeness, and any submitted materials (including nomination entries) for promotional purposes.
Disqualification
- Jefferson’s reserves the right to disqualify any nominations that are incomplete, inappropriate, or in violation of these terms and conditions.
- Jefferson’s also reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the nomination process in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Privacy
Personal information provided during the nomination process will be used solely for the purposed of selecting and contacting the Coach of the Year. Information will be handled in accordance with Jefferson’s privacy policy, which can be found here.
