Southern favorite Jefferson’s is making a splash on Weiss Lake this summer, opening a waterfront restaurant where guests can pull up by boat, grab some wings and burgers, and enjoy views of one of Alabama’s most popular boating and fishing destinations. The restaurant will officially open its doors on Weiss Lake on Thursday, June 25, occupying the previous home of Weiss Lake 360 Bar & Grill.
The waterfront space at 3440 AL-9 in Cedar Bluff is located just west of Weiss Mart Marina. The restaurant’s docks—four in all—will allow guests to drive their boats directly to the restaurant. Jefferson’s will be one of just three restaurants on Weiss Lake with arrive-by-boat access. All four docks have already been or will be renovated by the end of the year.
Jefferson’s of Weiss Lake is an ideal game-day destination, featuring lofted ceilings and oversized televisions, panoramic lake views, a shaded terrace, and ample outdoor seating.
The lakefront spot in Cedar Bluff is helmed by co-franchisees Robby Coggin and Jake Lund, who operate a growing family of Jefferson’s restaurants across the surrounding areas in North Alabama and Georgia. This will be Jefferson’s first and only waterside location.
“People spend their days on the lake fishing, boating, and relaxing with family and friends,” said franchisee Jake Lund. “We wanted to create a welcoming place that makes it easy for them to walk, drive, boat, or jet ski up and grab a meal, catch a game, or watch the sun go down. We’re excited to make Jefferson’s part of their lake-day tradition.”
Jefferson’s is known for its fresh-never-frozen wings, hand-pattied burgers, and hand-breaded tenders.
