Congratulations to Tesha Goodgine, our 2026 Jefferson’s Fairview Teacher of the Year!

Tesha teaches K-12 Visual Art at Fairview High School.

We can’t think of a better way to tell you what makes her an incredible teacher than by sharing directly from her nominators:

“Tesha embodies the role of teacher and leader and Christ follower. She loves each student that walks the high school halls and meets them where they are with an open heart. She is a safe place for all who need it and is the everyone’s cheerleader and supporter! Tesha is a gem and Fairview is lucky to have her!”

Tesha says her favorite part of teaching is, “Receiving letters from parents thanking me for reigniting their child’s love for art, letters that remind me that I am more than a teacher to their child, I am someone they trust and their safe place.”

Every year, in honor of National Teachers Day, Jefferson’s Fairview recognizes a teacher who goes above and beyond for their students and who not only educate the next generation but bring together the community and nurture a culture of learning. These teachers have made an impact on their students lives and have been nominated by school and community members.

“Coach of the year” hall of fame

Every year, in honor of National Coaches’ Day, Jefferson’s Fairview recognizes a coach who goes above and beyond for their athletes and their community. These coaches have made an impact on their players’ lives on and off the field and have been nominated by school and community members.
