Congratulations to Ashlyn Cagle, our 2025 Jefferson’s Gadsden Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Cagle teaches Special Education (Pre-K – fourth grade) at Glencoe Elementary School.
Mrs. Cagle’s nominators described her as big-hearted, calm, and patient. She always has her students’ best interests front of mind, and is a soothing presence for everyone in her classroom.
Mrs. Cagle spoke to her passion for teaching, saying, “Special education holds a very special place in my heart, particularly teaching social-emotional skills—a true passion of mine. My passion for teaching stems from a lifelong commitment to supporting individuals with diverse learning needs. I focus on building strong relationships, using evidence-based strategies, and fostering social-emotional growth. I am grateful every day for the opportunity to love, teach, and watch each individual child grow at Glencoe Elementary.”
