What do you look for in a Jefferson's Franchisee?
There’s no one-size-fits-all definition of a Jefferson’s Franchisee. Some Franchisees are individuals, some are friends who’ve gone into partnership together and we’ve even got some husband and wife teams!
The ability to secure financing to get you started, dedication to working together on the development project ahead, the ability to serve as (or staff someone who can) Owner Operator/General Manager and a dedication to the already successful Jefferson’s System will ensure a setup for success. These are just a few of the things that make a great Jefferson’s Franchisee. We really want to learn more about you!
What are the royalty fees franchisees pay to Jefferson’s?
4% — an industry low royalty fee.
What kind of training do you provide?
Initial training is hands-on and covers all phases of operations, including food and inventory purchasing, food preparation, equipment operation and maintenance, relations with employees and customers, basic techniques of management and merchandising, and preparation of records and reports.
Jefferson’s also provides ongoing support to its Franchisees and takes pride in being accessible. If you need someone, we are a phone call, an email or a text message away from getting answers and help to support you should the need arise. We are also proactively working on a daily basis to identify areas to build upon and improve the already successful Jefferson’s training and system.
How much does it cost to open a Jefferson’s restaurant?
The initial investment can range from $108,500 to $311,280. For a breakdown of costs included in this number, reference the investment chart below. The Franchise Fee is currently $20,000.
How much money do I need before I can expect to break even?
Each project is unique. Your geographic location, rent and other lease and improvement costs, equipment and startup investment are variable. We will provide you the information you need in advance and along the way once we learn more about where you’d like to open your Jefferson’s and what the other factors are that may influence this estimate.
While we can’t tell you the exact amount, we can help you understand what you will need to get set up and prepared to create your own successful Jefferson’s. The Franchise Information Packet will give you some estimates on prior Jefferson’s projects.

REVIEW—You will receive a Jefferson’s Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Please read and review the document.
CALL—Call us to ask any questions about the FDD.
VISIT—After your questions have been answered, we will plan for a “Discovery Day,” during which you’ll meet our support team and will visit several Jefferson’s locations.
Initial Evaluation Process
FOLLOW-UP MEETING—Come hang out with us to discuss any other issues or questions prior to making a final decision to become a franchisee.
VALIDATE—Speak with current Jefferson’s franchisees about their experience as part of the system.
Become a Franchisee
SIGN a franchise agreement, fund your $20,000.00 franchise fee and get your official Jefferson’s polo as a member of the Jefferson’s family (because you have to look good while doing it).
