Jefferson’s Rainbow City
Coach of the year 2025
Brooks Robinson
We’re proud to recognize Brooks Robinson as our 2025 Jefferson’s Rainbow City Coach of the Year!
Coach Robinson’s nominator shared, “Brooks is an amazing young man. He coaches both Baseball and Football. He is a leader as well as a teacher and coach. He is a caring person. Not only does he teach the fundamentals of the sports he teaches them respect and compassion. How to win or lose with dignity. How you win or lose with grace. I guess you could say he teaches them the “fundamentals” of how to be a good, decent and successful person on and off the field.”
Please join us in congratulating Coach Robinson for his incredible impact on the community for over 8 years of coaching!
“Coach of the year” hall of fame
Every year, in honor of National Coaches’ Day, Jefferson’s Rainbow City recognizes a coach who goes above and beyond for their athletes and their community. These coaches have made an impact on their players’ lives on and off the field and have been nominated by school and community members.

Congratulations to Allison Heald, our 2025 Jefferson’s Rainbow City Teacher of the Year!
Dr. Heald is an Agriscience teacher and FFA Advisor at Southside High School, and has been teaching for eight years. As a 2010 graduate of Southside High School, she considers herself to be a panther for life, and feels beyond blessed to be back home serving her alma mater and community.
Dr. Heald’s nominators spoke of the many skills she’s imparted to her students, and also shared incredible stories about all she has contributed to the community in her service-oriented tenure at Southside High, including:
- Working with the FFA to build over 200 beds for children in need, in addition to organizing off-campus builds for other FFA chapters across Alabama.
- Directing backpack blessing drives, animal shelter drives, and bedding drives.
- Planning trips to elementary and middle schools to get younger students excited about agriscience.
One nominator said, “Dr. Heald’s influence on Southside High’s campus culture is profound. Her students hold her in the highest regard, and she inspires them to strive for greatness. She brings out the best in her students, consistently challenging them to set and reach ambitious goals.”
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Heald for her incredible impact in the classroom and beyond!
