We’re proud to recognize Tyler Vann as our 2025 Jefferson’s Scottsboro Coach of the Year!
Coach Vann’s nominator shared, “Coach Vann is a great coach!!!! He always goes above/beyond to make sure that we all know that we can be/do the best we can be/do and that with hard work, dedication, and determination we can always be/do better so that we can be the best athlete/person that we can be. He does not let us beat ourselves up when we lose a game he always says (We will work hard on our mistakes and we’ll get them next time). He’s not only our football coach he is also learning/teaching, and shaping us into respectful, hard working, young men/adults. He makes sure we are all ok, that we all have fun, that we all have a ride to practice and that we all are fed before and after every game”

Congratulations to Erica Hill, our 2025 Jefferson’s Scottsboro Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Hill teaches second grade at Caldwell Elementary School. She has been teaching for 18 years.
One of Mrs. Hill’s nominators captured her big heart and community spirit: When one of her students experienced a major personal loss that left the family in crisis. Erica quietly stepped in—providing thoughtful support, essential items, and ongoing care during a time of immense difficulty. Her actions were never for recognition, but simply because she saw a need and responded with heart.
